                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPROXIMATE
                   TWO HUNDRED NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLAR
                   ($298,000.00) INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF THE
                   ROSS'S LANDING PARK AND PLAZA, EXPANSION
                   WEST, CONTRACT NO. 3, AWARDED TO INSITE
                   CONSTRUCTION COMPANY.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
                  
       	    	
       	    	 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 19466, encaptioned as follows:
                 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF THE ROSS'S 
LANDING
                 PARK AND PLAZA, EXPANSION WEST, CONTRACT NO. 3, TO
                 INSITE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THEIR LOW BID IN THE
                 AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND, THREE
                 HUNDRED NINETY-NINE AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($225,399.00),
                 UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN.   	  
                
       was adopted on June 2, 1992, by the City Council of the City of
       Chattanooga, Tennessee, and
       	    	 WHEREAS, there is approximately One Hundred
       Seventy-Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars
       ($177,972.00) of unspent funds from the Ross's Landing Plaza
       Construction Contract awarded to Soloff Construction Company and, 

       	    	 WHEREAS,   there is approximately Twelve Thousand Six
       Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars ($12,666.00) of unspent funds from the
       Fixed Pier and Floating Dock Construction Contract awarded to
       Soloff Construction Company, and
      
       	    	 WHEREAS,  there is approximately One Hundred Six
       Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-One Dollars ($106,961.00) remaining 
of
       unobligated funds from the grant funds heretofore received from
       the State of Tennessee and from proceeds of the Hotel-Motel tax
       collected from within the County of Hamilton,
       	    	 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
       CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby
       authorized the increase of approximately Two Hundred Ninety-Eight 

       Thousand Dollars ($298,000.00) in the Ross's Landing Park and
       Plaza, Expansion West, Contract No. 3, previously awarded to
       Insite Construction Company, which amount is to be paid from the
       unspent balance of funds from the Ross's Landing Plaza
       Construction Contract previously awarded to Soloff Construction
       Company (approximately $177,972.00) and the unspent balance of
       funds from the Fixed Pier and Floating Dock Construction Contract 

       to Soloff Construction Company (approximately $12,666.00) and the 

       remaining unobligated funds received from the State of Tennessee
       and proceeds of the Hotel-Motel tax collected from within the
       County of Hamilton, which totals One Hundred Six Thousand Nine
       Hundred Sixty-One Dollars ($106,961.00).
